after numerous 60-80 mph wobbles/weaves while leant over I decided to get the suspension set up for my weight. This included new front springs. The bike was set up by a reputable dealer who managed to stop the bike wobbling at slower speeds. I thought the problem had gone, but today it almost killed me, probably the closest ive come to being killed or very seriously injured. Whilst leant over at about 90mph, the bike started its usual frontend wobble, I tried to hold the bars and all hell broke loose, for about 20 seconds I wrestled the bike as the wobble went from front to back almost throwing me off the bike several times. Luckily, the road was very very wide and I ended up in the hard shoulder just missing the motorway barrier. Just before my journey I decided to tighten the damper which I rarely do, if I hadnt I am certain I wouldnt be here now. Has anyone else experienced this, my 1098 has never ever done this even at almost twice that speed on a bumpy track like portimao. The dealer says it could be the tyres (bridgstones)

Thought I'd get a bit of a discussion thread going as there's been a bit of press recently on the new Ducati Superbike 1198 replacement due in 2012...

Basically they have taken the current twin as far as it can go, so....

1. Does that mean a whole new twin from the ground up?

Or...

2. Could they move away from twins and go Superbike racing with a version of their rather nifty V4???
