Adding panniers on the sport version?
Does anybody know what's involved with adding the touring model panniers to the sport version MTS 1200?
I'm wondering if the mounts are already on the sport, or if you'd have to buy a "docking" kit plus the panniers.
Also, any idea on the total cost of adding the panniers? I've talked to a couple of local dealers, but they're clueless.
Thanks in advance.

I saw on a review that the author was quoted $850 USD for the small lid bags, but no mention if that included mounting hardware. I asked DNA about if the Termi full system would fit with the bags and the center stand and they were their usual helpful selfs, meaning not much.

Man, ya got that right about DNA being no help.
I did the same thing and got back a standard canned response about asking my dealer who, BTW, is completely clueless about the bikes that he already has on the floor, let alone something he hasn't even seen yet!
Guess I'll wait till one shows up here and go look for myself.
Thanks for the reply,
John

There is no mounting hardware for the new Multi. There are 2 mount points already on the bike. 1 mount pint (or slot) is near the rear grab handle. The other is near the back of the passenger peg.
BTW I think it is awesome that there are no brackets that are left on the bike when the bags are not on. Looks so much better.
The full system will fit behind the bags no problem.

Hey, thanks.
So, I'm understanding correctly that the Sport version comes with the mounts/attach points and all I'd have to do is buy the bags and they'd just hook right on?
Pretty cool!

ALL versions come with the mounts as the mounts are part of the bike.
Yes, very cool. Along with about 100 other things on the bike.

Well hell!
I was really hoping that I could go another year before I bought one to see how the reliability worked out with all the new stuff these bikes have on them, but I don't think I'm gonna be able to hold out!
Thanks again for the help. I really appreciate it.

Side bags $850
Top Case $600
call them if you want to know anything else.

Why not just get the S Touring? If you don't like the center stand...just remove it. The carbon fiber stuff could be had cheaper when other manufactures start producing...ie Shift Tech. Just my .02
