First dyno results
Not bad for just a Termi kit installed. No tuning done yet, and I have not opened up the airbox until we can figure out a way to tune this thing. I think that in the end we may use a FatDuc thingie to richen up the low end, and then use my PC-V to tweak from 5200rpm and up.
But for now, here is the dyno chart, with only 175 miles on the clock. I am betting that once it is broken in more and loosens up, and we open up the intakes and get some tuning, that I will hit 150hp at the wheel and really clean things up.
But for now, the power is pretty impressive, and actually, the fueling from the middle of the graph on up is damned near perfect. Only a tweak or two will be needed there.
But down low, horrible. Lean as hell, and I don't understand why the DP ECU would have the bike running that lean. I can see it being a bit lean, but 16+ on the AFR is ludicrous.
So, here is the run, compared back to back with the tuned 848 that the SF replaced. Not bad, all things considered...

Update:
Got it tuned with the PC-V. Low down the fueling still blows goat, but from 5k on up it is dialed in pretty nice. What the graph does not show is how much improved the partial throttle power is, say at 40%, 60%, 80%. World of difference there.
Top end stayed the same as with just the DP ECU. Until I opened up the air intakes! Then I got another 6hp just from that, instantly. We did a lot of tuning, then I popped off the airbox intake covers, and removed the rectangular pieces that I had already cut out with a Dremmel and then taped back into place so we could do a really quick back-to-back comparison, and my tuner was floored that it worked.
Same dyno, same 20 minute period, same atmospheric conditions, engine temp, etc... We tried going back and forth several times, and the results were consistent and repeatable.
A must-do-mod in my opinion. The beauty of it was that we didn't see it lean out and have to add fuel. The airbox pressure sensor saw the change in pressure, and adjusted the trim automatically. We tested and retested and the results speak for themselves.
All I did was remove the two covers, cut out about a 2"x4" rectangle from the top edge that goes up under the tank and the frame, and that was it. Looks stock, but we improved the airflow dramatically and there you have it. Same results as the $500+ ram air covers, for free.

Why are you comparing an 848 to a Streetfighter? I understand that you came from an 848 but these are completely different bikes built for a different purpose. If you are interested in hp why dont you go out and get a turbo hayabusa with a chrome plated extended swingarm? Oh, 25 hp with an extra 250 cc's isnt impressive at all.

Because that was the dyno chart that I had, comparing the new bike to the old bike. And being that the main reason for upgrading was the increase in power, it was relevant.
Why does that bother you? Insecure? Or just a dick?

just a curious dick...didnt mean to offend. it is interesting to see the more linear power and torque curve of the 848 compared to the liter.
