Default Stimac trip to Oz

Left Colstrip at 6am Jan 28. -1 deg f.
Photo from a few days before.

Checked in at Billings BLI at 8am, 2 hours early for the international flight. Thats our conecting flight to Denver. Hum, Sidney Montana would be much closer?

We got to LAX at 5pm, 4 local time. Start our 6 hour lay over. 10pm we are on the plane, waiting for a few others to make their conection.
OK, 10:30 we are ready to push off, but fuel is leaking on to the runway. So we sit...and sit. 12:00am has us unloading the plane and headed to the Airport Hilton to try again tonight. Guess you cant make 14 hrs in the air with fuel leaking.

So its my 1st time to LA area. I thought I had seen smog when I was in Paris? Wow. I was wrong. Makes me sad.

More updates when I have news.

Nice view, don't you love those hotels next to airports.

I got stranded at JFK once and the Hotel location was less than desirable as I'm a country bumpkin and I was in a not-so friendly area.

The trip will be worth it though, I was reading about it in the "Australia" section. Good Luck!
